Easy Girly Grunge Make Up Look

This is fast becoming my new 'go to' look! It's by far the easiest and quickest look in my repertoire. It's simple, smudgy and 'do your make up in the car' friendly, the messier the better! You can wear this as a slightly more polished and glamorous look, like I did, or you can really smudge it out to give it more of an edgy finish.
I start off with my standard base, well moisturized skin with a primer of your choice (primers are as always optional and not essential for this look) and a medium coverage foundation. I normally use my Rimmel Stay Matte primer and my Urban Decay Eye Primer Potion with Mac Studio Fix Fluid Foundation blended in with my buffing brush from Real Techniques. I fill in my brows with Mac brow pencil in Lingering.

Now it's time for the good stuff the eyes. This is one of the few cases where I encourage the use of an orangey brown shade, I use a bronzer instead of an eyeshadow here, use a fluffy blending brush, something along the lines of a Mac 217, to place the orange-brown shade just above your crease line. There is no need to be neat in this, you can make it as intense or sheer as you like as it is going to serve as a transition shade. Take a shadow stick in a chocolate brown shade, Rimmel Scandaleyes Eye Shadow Stick in Bad Girl Bronze is perfect, run it over you eyelid and through your crease then blend out with a fluffy blending brush. I usually do this step one eye at a time as cream shadows tend to set quite quickly. What you do next is a case of personal preference, you can repeat the previous step to build up the colour or use a powder shadow or leave it as it is. I like to pat a cranberry powder shadow over one layer of the brown cream shadow.

I go in with concealer next, use something brightening to balance out the dark colour on the eyes. Urban Decays Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer is what I like to use. Set the concealer with a translucent powder and finish the look with a light dusting of a 'barely there' colour blush and bronzer to give the face some dimension. Eyeliner is optional but smudged out black kohl liner looks great! Mascara, on the other hand is an absolute must! I am in love with Too Faced 'better than sex' mascara, it gives length and curl and holds all day and night! Go for a nude lipstick or gloss, Urban Decay do both in the shade Liar which is perfect for this look.
